Join us at Okehampton Community Garden for a relaxed and friendly Harvest gathering, celebrating the garden, the season and the wonderful produce it provides.
There will be something for everyone, with opportunities to explore the garden, enjoy some food and let the children have fun.
What’s happening?
Apple Pressing
Bring along your apples & bottles and we’ll be pressing apples during the event. A lovely opportunity to see the harvest turned into delicious juice! (This is subject to harvest)
BBQ
Enjoy some food from the BBQ while catching up with friends, neighbours and fellow garden visitors. Adult £5, Child £2.50 (to be purchased on the day).
Garden Tours & Q&A
Take a tour around Okehampton Community Garden, see what’s growing and find out more about how the garden works. There’ll also be an opportunity to ask questions and chat with the volunteer members of the garden.
Seasonal Produce
A selection of garden produce will be available during the event, giving you the chance to take a little bit of the harvest home with you.
Children’s Play Area
There’s plenty to keep younger visitors entertained, including our playhouse, sand pit, mud kitchen, ride-on tractors and tricycles.
Whether you’re already part of the Okehampton Community Garden community or you’ve never visited before, you’ll be very welcome.
Come along, enjoy the garden, meet the people behind it and celebrate the harvest with us!
