On Sunday 18th January, Okehampton Community Garden was alive with song, laughter and ancient tradition as we co-hosted a Wassail with Wren Music. Wassailing is a traditional way of
celebrating and blessing fruit trees during winter, wishing them health and abundance for the year ahead. It felt very special to honour this custom together in the garden. With music, shared voices and a wonderful sense of togetherness, we gathered to wake the orchard from its winter rest and set intentions for a fruitful growing season ahead. Thank you to everyone who came along and helped to create such a joyful and meaningful afternoon and to Wren Music for sharing their songs and knowledge with us.
